Hey guys its been a while, I have been really busy for past
few months due to exams and all other stuff.
So now since I will be free to write my reviews
consistently, I have a lot of reviews planned out for you guys.
This summer there were many interesting movies which came
out and also are coming out, but one amongst such movies which came out this
summer was SAIRAT.

There was so much hype about this movie before if came out
and also after it was released. I was not so keen on this movie as such but
then again because of the hype I decided to go and watch this movie and see it
myself whether this movie is worth the hype or not.
So the answer is YES it is totally worth the hype.
SAIRAT is a love story of Prashant Kale aka Parshya and
Archana Patil aka Archie, these two young kids fall in love despite the caste
and class differences. After getting found out by her parents, hell breaks loose
on them and now they are on their own to survive their life together with each
other without anyone.
This story is quite
known to many people as many times there are many such stories as well as movies out
there having similar plot-line. But this I think is little different than the
others. Here the main protagonists are little different from the
typical characters we see time and again in the movies and also it tries to bring out on the reality we live in.
Archie is a bold, fearless yet feminine daughter of a
powerful Politician in the village. She is likes to live life on her own terms. She
never cares of what people will think about her when she is driving a bullet to
the college or tractor in the farms. She is fun-loving person living her life
the way she wants.
Parshya on the other side is emotional, sensitive, shy and
sweet son of a fisher man who loves Archie knowing the fact she belongs to an upper
caste family. He is fearless in such a way and wants Archie to notice him no
matter what.
They are complete opposite of each other but still fall in
love and want to be together.
This story really tells the reality which still exists in
some or should I say many parts of India. Even today there are caste and class
differences which makes life of the people difficult. Here the main couple has
to go through a lot due to the fact that they don’t belong in the same class
and caste.
It also tells how difficult it is for two young kids to live
together without any support from their families and how ultimately they have
to face the wrath of their parents especially her parents.
Now this movie has been out for quite a while and many know
that this movie is about Honor killing and after knowing so, you know what to
except from this movie. I knew this before I went in to watch this movie and
still enjoyed the movie a lot. Knowing this fact about Sairat did not spoil my
experience while watching the movie.
Characters in this movie are all simple and relatable. Each
and every actor in this movie has done amazing job. They made it look really
realistic and l loved it. Rinku Rajguru ( Archie) and Akash Thosar (Parshya)
have done a fantastic job for their Debut Movie. Totally praise-worthy.
This movie is both story and character driven, especially
the second half the focus shifts to character development but still holds on to
the story really well.
Coming to the direction, Mr. Nagraj Manjule is a National
Award Winner and his works are really well known. There is no exception to this
one as well. Sairat was the first movie which I saw of Mr. Manjule and I am
impressed. Love the way he has shot the entire movie. Especially there are
scenes in the first half which are just beautiful. I really liked it when he used
the local and hidden locations in the country to shoot the movie rather than
going all extravagant.
Music of this movie is another plus point to the movie.
The
Music is by Ajay-Atul and they did this music with Live Symphony Hollywood. The music by Ajay-Atul is always amazing but when having a live
orchestra playing the score for the movie and for the songs made it more
amazing. There are only four songs and I love them all.
Now Final Verdict,
SAIRAT is truly a beautiful yet Tragic love story. It is a
MUST-WATCH.
